2007 Allure Door Wire Bundle Replacement

2007 Allure door wire bundle - the multi conductor cable/wire bundle that goes from the door frame into the door - it carries alarm system signals as well as door switch to activate the power steps. It has a terminal block in the door on one end.

I need to find a replacement. It has worn and a few of the wires have broke. I have repaired before but now it’s broke close to the door frame.

Anyone replace this multi conductor cable and any advice? I have not found the door frame side end terminal block. Anyone know where it is located?

I got a new harness from Kevin Waite. I think he makes them himself.

I had Premier replace ours in the spring. Ours had the jacket worn and the wires were starting to become worn. Unfortunately I didn’t watch them do this repair.

2007 Allure Door Wire Bundle Replacement

Follow up, and for anyone else tackling this job.

I found the other end of the multi conductor door wire bundle. Access is through the inspection hatch in the front cap, once I extended the generator. See picture.

There was enough slack wire in the front cap that I was able to pull excess back through the door jam and repair the broken wires. I also left the multi conductor cable pulled through to leave new unbroken wires where the cable exits the door jamb. I also replaced the wire loom sheath that had obviously broken off which contributes to the wire bundle “cutting” on the edge of the door frame. The wire loom lines the door jamb hole and allows the wire to move back and forth as the door opens/closes.
