2008 Donatelle

Have not been on forums here in quite sometime but never seem to stop checking site from time to time....OR stop looking at RVs. CCs often catch my eye and just this week had the chance to look at CC that I was not familiar, a Magna 630 45 Donatelle. Awesome coach with construction like I have not noticed on couches I have looked at in past. I am not extremely knowledgeable about CC, is this a special edition? This particular coach was apparently custom built judging by the interior scheme and 600 Cummin (rather than Cat). Beautiful with VERY low mileage. ....along with big price tag, $431K.

I know 2007 was not a great year for CC, was 2008?

$431K seems a little high. My 06 Magna was $215. I might consider an offer of $300K or $325K, to start, but no more. If they really want to sell, they will deal. Sounds like they are asking about what wholesale is.

Did you take any pictures?

I'm surprised with the Cummings. For some reason I thought they always put Cats in the Magna. What do they have listed for the torque on the Cummings? The Cat 525 is 1650 torque.

I felt it was so out of my reach at time I did not take pictures or get specs, actually figured I could get all off the website. Now the couch is sort of haunting me. Salesman did comment that the couch had been built special for someone. I notice their website specs claim Cat motor and a few other discrepancies for actual on site. There is definetely a Cummins 600 tag on outside of coach. I did check to see if it had an Allison tranny as some 2007 CCs went Cat. Think I will do some more investigating.

Again, congratulations on your deal.

Basically, all CC coaches were custom built. They have some basic specs, but all were very customizable. I just do not imagine this is any better than any other comparable CC Magna. I believe the Donatella or Rembrandt in my case were related to basic layouts and finishes, which were then very customizable. I am not positive, but I believe that in this line, CC did not build stock coaches. Perhaps they did in the lesser lines i.e. Allure, but in the Magna, Affinity and Lexa (I believe this was their top end coach) they did not.

Thanks, we are excited about moving into the coach on Friday. I would not have been able to swing a 08 at that price either, but the 06 fell right into the amount we could swing.

Floor plan per RV dealers specs show equip like queen, partial tile, t/chairs, but this one was tile all in front, two coaches, very nice wrap dinette, etc. Website does not even list miles on Cummins or hours on gen. I believe salesman said around 12K miles. He thought owner wanted to use couch for business and be able to sleep several guests, probably reason for special setting arrangement. Very impressive for sure. Spec list weight at 52K, long way from 31K of my Gulfstream of coarse, and 45 foot.

I am surprise at limited data on their listing. That coupled with price I bet is on consignment. I am on tablet or I would paste you a link for grines. Might go to Southern RV Super Center Tyler, TX if you want to get a glimpse.

Checked out the coach, looks like a standard Magna whit some options added. Nice looking coach, jump on it.

Yes, standard Magna with a couple of options. I like the bath and a half, a lot. I do not like the dinette, just my personal preference. I would definitely give a low ball bid. I do not believe coaches in that price range are moving very fast.

Drivers area looks identical to mine except the nav system is slightly different. I have the variety that slides in and closes rather than staying open. Because of the extra bath, slightly smaller counter space.

I have lost a couple of hospital jobs in the last year so not sure I am ready to literally sale a portion of ranch for a upgrade in MHs. Bad thing (for me) is that spouse likes dinette a lot and loves all the tile. Does your have full tile up front? If so, does full tile make for more road noice from front axle....it is just a thought I have had since so many (at least pre-08, seem to have at least a little carpet.

The CCs are so nice. I found a nice one (I thought) near Dallas several months ago but it was not moving and I wondered why. I questions someone on Internet who really knows his CCs and he told me he would not even trade for a CC that had the particular Cat tranny that was in this couch. I am sure there are some good Cat transmissions out there but that was enough to stop my desire. It was a 2007 at under around $189K. Sorce told me 2007 just was not a good year for 2007, not to say all in 2007 were problemed but it was advice I took seriously.

Enjoy your new ride.

Ours has the half tile floor, which is heated. We can program the heated floor to come on at certain times, like on a cool morning. The carpet in the remainder is a high quality carpet that seems easy to clean and is holding up very well.

My wife and I just like looking and have stepped foot in a many MHs over the last two years, especially Newmars, new and used. This 2008 CC Magna 630 45 Donatello at Tyler I believe is the most impressive I have seen. Even compartment doors are more heavy constructed than most MHs we have observed. I did notice weight given was 52K so that explains much to construction This must be a truely high end model. I thought asking price of $431K was step but checked on NADA and that was about their price of low excluding additional amount NADA would add for low mileage....so I guess a fair price. Suspect unit is on consignment also where owner wants a specific return. Nevertheless one beautiful couch most any ft'er would love.

Our 2006 coach wholesale is listed at $265K, but we got the dealer down to $215K. I guess if it's something you really would like then try to negotiate the price downward.

These coaches are high end. Ours listed at about $671K when new (I have the build sheet for it) The GVWR is 52000 for ours as well.

We bought an 09 Magna Donatello in March from Premier RV in Junction City for $351. 20k front end, tiled floor, 650 cummins and only 17k miles. This one was for sale for a while, bothered me that it hadn't sold but love it now!

There you go, an 09 for $351K. The $431K they are asking is very high.
