Mr. D, I know the idea of extended service plans is controversial. I generally don't buy them and set aside some money for repairs. However, I realized the CC was a much more complicated beast than the 02 Journey we traded so we elected to buy a plan from Cornerstone that covers the house only (includes generator..... pretty much everything other than the drive train).
We paid about $3,400 for a four year, $200 deductible plan.

Got the coach in April 2013 and the plan has paid out what we paid for it: new Splendide dryer, motor in door awning, 2800 Watt inverter, front TV that died, broken bathroom fan drive mechanism, leaking hose in Aqua Hot system. I had a fan motor lock up in one of my Aqua Hot heat exchangers and it would have paid for that but I elected to do that repair myself since I changed the fans to quieter fans. In all cases, repair shops said Cornerstone was one of the best in terms of authorizing repairs. In no case did I wait more than an hour or so to hear that repairs were approved.

I still have a 'repair fund' but I am satisfied that the ESP was a good choice. We still have 2 years left on the plan.

Let us know how your shakedown goes.

Do you have to purchase Cornerstone thru a dealer? I searched their site and it appears that one must go thru a manufacturer or dealer?

Clay, I did get it from Tom Johnson's when we bought the coach. I have since heard that Cornerstone was a TJ company but don't know if that is true. Another TJ customer told me if you have Cornerstone and get a covered repair done at TJ's, they forego the deductible. I do know that when they replaced the defective clothes dryer and the door awning motor, they never asked for the $200 deductible.

All that may certainly change when CW takes over at TJ's

Yes, I got mine through the dealer as well! The best I had from Wholesale Warranty was $10.8K for four years with $200 deductible and didn't include tire and rim coverage either.

So, Im assuming the only way to get EWS is when purchasing thru selective dealers? Can one, for example, contact a Cornerstone dealer/representative and get a quote and coverage on your coach? Does the coach have to go to a Cornerstone dealer nationwide recognized for service or use any approved facility? How does one acquire this information? Seems there is very little information available to the consumer on this company? Thanks for the info in advance.

Clay, Cornerstone has worked with a local independent RV shop near me, with Country Coach when I was there, with a mobile RV repair in Myrtle Beach, and TJ's of course. So, it does not seem they require any particular repair facilities. I will say when I have told these shops I have Cornerstone, they have all responded very positively saying that is good.

I would give Cornerstone a call and see what your options are for purchase.

Well, we DIDN'T buy a service policy as the dealer didn't get the info to us till we got back from vacation and the rig broke down two days before that. Looks to be another broken valve on #6 cyl. Here's the thread: ISX 650 dropped a valve for the second time
