ABS Light on after Cummins serviced wheel bearings.

Ok. Cummins southwest was doing a PM and noticed leaking wheel seals etc? I told them to replace all four. ($200 each). They returned coach with ABS light on?? I took it back. They have messed with it and tell me their equipment can't find issue, and I may need to get second opinion?? My inspection is due next month?? Duh, can't get it with ABS light on? I saw on another post that someone got ABS codes?? Help please. Or where I need to take it in DfW area. Thanks.

If the sensors are not adjusted properly, you will get a ABS light. Look in the bay under the drivers seat and see if there is a clear handled toggle switch. By flipping it, you can get the code for the suspected sensor that is out of adjustment. Watch for the blinking switch and record the number of blinks,

On my coach, the switch is mounted in the upper right quadrant

ABS light

If the ABS light is not on you often cannot find the problem.

If the light isn't on, you don't have a problem.

Most problems with the ABS is a simple adjustment of the sensor on a wheel. Seeing as how the sensors had to be removed to change out the seals, this is most likely the problem.

I had this exact same problem. Happened two days before I was going cross country and had Cummings go thru everything. Told me I had a leaking seal on the left front. Had them replace both and the next morning I get the ABS light. I had some really choice words for them and went inside my house to change clothes and take the coach back. When we started it the light was on and I let air pressure build and did tire checks before driving the 25 miles to Cummings. I get in, the ABS is still on, and drive half a block and it goes off. Have since driven 5k and no issues.

A friend who builds custom hot rods thinks it is one of the sensors that was slightly out of adjustment. The coach sat out in the cold (45 degrees .... I live in Las Vegas) overnight and was facing East when the sun came up. His theory was that the contractions from cold/heat may have been enough to "reset/reseat" sensors. Not sure I believe that but I certainly can't dispute it either.

God luck.

ABS Light

My 08 Allure had bad seal on drive axle that started leaking. Had a local shop do the repair for I know an absurd cost of $750. The shop told me the ABS light was on when they started working. I have a tag which when raising then hitting a curb it will come on but that's normal.
Anyway they nicked the sensor wire which they then replaced on the nickel. It was still on after repairs. When they did the job the tech didn't set the sensor close enough. So they went back in to complete. What a total pain in the ---.

My sliverleaf gave me a fault code.
Hope this helps. Even when it was completed correctly, it took driving about 200 ft before it cleared for good.
This was on a unit with disk brakes.

Brakes always bother me. Had a family mechanic friend in the mid 60s who once said, "If you car won't start it is an inconvenience. If it won't stop you are f..ked". Front that point on I never touched brakes. Always take to a shop but then you get things like the issue we are discussing. At least I feel fairly comfortable thinking the mechanic has at least basic competency.

ABS Light on after Cummins serviced wheel bearings.

Ok, I need to close this loop. On my ABS issues after Cummings replaced wheel seals. Turns out, I took coach to a manitou service center (they manufacture these abs systems). It was one sensor that needed adjustment that's it!! All done!! Cummings wanted to replace the abs control module!! Cummings please stick to the engine.your great with that. Every time I've had them do something outside their normal engine work, it hasn't ended well! Just saying!
