Accessing shower faucet plumbing

We have a 1998 CC Allure 36 where the shower faucet plumbing backs up the the refrigerator. Does anyone know how to access that plumbing for faucet replacement without removing the refrigerator or cutting a big ugly hole in the shower wall?

I have the same layout. I think I would slide the fridge out. What's wrong with the one that's in there now?

Pull off the facade inside the shower and see if you have a Moentrol valve. If you do, it can be serviced from the shower and doesn't need total replacement. Yours probably is like the model 3510 shown here Moentrol Shower Valves

You can change the facade to what you want if you go to a good plumbing supply house and pick something for the Moentrol.

He probably has a Kohler shower valve(with gold trim)but you can do the same. That's why I was wondering what was wrong with the one he has.
