Aftermarket shock replacement
Wondering if anyone has experiance with different brands of aftermarket shocks on CC's. MH magazine had a comparison between 4 brands: Sachs? , Koni FSD, Bilstein, Road King, on a 36' Frieghtliner chassis with similar weight characteristics as my 1999 36' Allure. The Bilstein's had an edge over the Koni's in that the ride over "rough" road conditions, such as interstate expansion joints, (my biggest complaint) was less harsh than the Koni FSD. Bilstein' s offered about the same ride as the Koni in other conditions as well. Other than price, are there any advantages, or disadvantages to any? Appreciate the opinions. Thanks.
