Air and Coolant Temp sensors

I've posted a similar question over on yahoo groups so please excuse the double posting.

I picked up both the air and coolant sensors from Kevin and set out to change them both on our 05 Inspire with a C9 Cat.
After practically an hour rooting around in the engine compartment and under the rig, I'm just not finding either sensor. I suspect I need to pull the engine cover off to get to the air sensor, but if anyone has a similar setup, I'd sure appreciate a hint or two on where the sensors are located. You'd think they'd be easy to spot but obviously I'm not as smart as I thought I was.
thanks

toni

Mine were easy to spot Not so easy to get at, and were tight as hell!

Coolant sensor was behind the expansion tank on the crossover pipe between the engine and radiator.

Air sensor was on the intake pipe just before it goes into the engine

Good luck

Thanks
I spent some more time looking with no success. This week I'll pull up the engine cover. I need to set the valves anyway as I'm not sure they have been done, and that will give me a change to look some more.

I've got to pull the engine cover on my '04 to examine my PacBrake. As I can tell from the rear access there are seven bolts that come down from the bedroom and two of those are under the bed. Please post up your experience in getting that cover out of there if you don't mind.

On a side note, isn't Orting like right in the path of a Rainer mudslide? :-0

Will do, and yeah, we're down here in the potential mud zone. Here's a funny. the schools periodically practice the "lahar drill. The plan is that if there is a Lahar or mudflow, there will be maybe 30 minutes before the mud gets here. So............they plan to blow this big siren and a few hundred school kids will calmly walk down main street until they get to higher ground, maybe a mile away. What I want to know is who the rocket scientist is that figures you can calmly walk 500 kids down the street in single file and up the hill..while trying to avoid the mud flow and dodge the 500 frantic mothers who will be coming the other way to rescue their little darlings.

Sometimes there needs to be a department of common sense.

I'm curious why you are changing them?

For what it's worth I've searched, on and off, for 10 years for my air temperature sensor. It always reads about three degrees warmer than other temperature sensors I've put at the front of the coach.

I pulled the cover off, It goes like this
Lift the bed and prop it up with something, then take part of the frame apart, then I removed the carpet from the whole piece, them remove the bolts and lift it out.
Note (removing the carpet involved removing the carpet strips and padding then reinstalling it all.)
