Air Doubler, Cool Tool!
Saw a thread on the Entegra forum discussing portable air compressors. Couple of the participants recommended using an air doubler connected to your coach air system. No need for portable compressor and you get dry air since your coach has the air dryer.
I have always hated hauling out the small portable compressor whenever I needed to air up the tires, especially as I get older and my back is more easily irritated (had lumbar fusion years ago). Plus, with the front tires needing up to 115-120 psi, even my portable struggles to get it done.
So, ordered the SMC air doubler with 1/4" npt fittings. Added a few fittings from Lowe's, mounted it to a plastic board and will jettison that heavy, dopey compressor. The doubler was about the same price as one of the small Viair compressors which I also considered.
Tested it today attached to my shop compressor and it immediately converted 50 psi in to 100 psi out at a good flowrate. I was impressed and look forward to using it on the coach.
I plan to mount it on the floor of the bay under the driver's window if there is space. The instructions suggested adding a valve to decompress the high pressure side so you can see the ball valve just before the output quick connect fitting.

Are you going to power this with the coach motor or get a electric pump such as a Viair. I have been planning on one along with a Viair electric pump.

Great job! You're gonna love that thing!
I haven't done it yet...but thought about adding a small VIAIR air storage tank to my rig, with a drain, over-pressure safety valve, check valve, output regulator w/quick connect. It would hopefully, store enough air volume to run a big air wrench. Have to see what the specs are for the air wrench to see what volume might be required.

Going to use air from compressor on coach engine. No need for Viair plus you will get moisture free air.

The doubler does provide the benefits of dry air, space savings - and the ability to air our big rig tires ! Nice job on your plastic base. Make my beat up piece of wood look a little less then professional ~! Luckily, it still doubles the air well.
Best, and thanks for sharing the pictures,
Smitty

I bought the one from Les Schawb in Junction City. You can install it permanent or put it in a portable case (which allows you to take it to another vehicle). Does exactly what I needed.
