I have an air hose with quick connect and was trying to see if the hose fitting would be compatible with my Affinity. I tried to connect it to the air supply hook up in the front bay under the drive seat. My air hose apparently is not the correct type and didn't connect to the air supply hook up. The hook up fitting on the coach started to leak air and wouldn't stop. After playing with it for a while it appears to have stopped leaking, but, since I have noticed that the front driver side of coach is about two inches or so lower than the passenger side. I did start the engine and let it idle for 15 minutes or so, but didn't raise that corner of the coach. Could the air fitting be still leaking, or do I need to let the engine run longer?

You should be able to hear if the air fitting is leaking. You may want to change to a standard hose fitting--the tow truck driver had to change out ours so he could hook up his air hose to our system when we had to have the coach towed. I have no idea why CC decided to use a non-standard fitting

I may be missing something but I don't think that air fitting issue would have anything to do with the coach air spring height. Do you have the air ride level system on your coach? If so, that may be a function of it working properly. See what happens if you move to another parking spot.

No, I don't hear anything as far as leaking. When it was, I could hear and feel it as well.
Would you happen to know where, perhaps online, may I be able to get the standard hose fitting. I know you can some at Lowe's, but don't want to put something that rusts out quickly.

I'm new to the Affinity, so don't know all I should know about it. All I know is it wasn't like that before, and I haven't moved it more than 100 feet. The good news is, I have an appointment with Spartan Chassis in three weeks. Thanks for chiming in.

Country Coach used type "T" or "Automotive" format quick connect air fittings. Most of the rest of the USA uses type "M" or "Industrial" format fittings. Don't know about Europe or UK. There is another type, "I" that I believe is compatible with "M" but not "T".

Yep, you can buy three different types of fitting at most any hardware store. So look on the fitting for it's type.

Just idling the engine may not adjust your air spring.

Our rig will not go to the travel position until the tranny is in gear.

If I read you right, you have moved the coach 100' since this happened? So, that should have put it in drive and allowed the travel mode to complete airing up...

It's possible you have a level valve that has stuck, or failed.

Kevin Waite provides a valuable service, I feel it is, where you sign up (and pay a reasonable fee) for over the phone Tech Support. What Kevin does not know, his brother does, or between the two of them networking, they'll find out

!

You might want to consider contacting him, and signing up for this service. He could probably walk you thru over the phone, how to figure out what is going on. And if you need parts, he can provide them too.

Kevin has been their for many CC owners over the years, a valuable asset, and a nice gent too!

Or, you could also try calling the leveling systems company, and see if their tech support can help you diagnose whats going on.

But, probably worth starting things up, and stepping up the idle to say 1200 RPM for 2-3 minutes to let the system air up well. Then try to manually raise the coach, dump air, and out of the bags, let it air up some again, then try leveling. Finally, the go into travel mode, and good tip to put it in gear with your foot on the brake, and see if the coach then is OK in travel mode as far as level is concerned. (Possibly under aired the first time. And or the raise/dump/level/travel mode might unstick a stuck valve.) Hurts noting to try this...

Yes, I would love to have Kevin's Service - Do you know his contact info, and just for curiosity, does he charge by hour or a flat rate fee?
I have not done much to the coach except just pulled it in my garage. I'll play with it as you suggested and see what happens.
I would like to replace the air fittings as the ones on the coach seem not in best shape. I'm afraid if I ever need to use it it might start leaking and wouldn't be able to stop it. So, to change it will cause the coach air tank to get depleted. Does that cause any problems?

Should be the bigger size. I changed mine, and it did not lose any air. I just buy the ones that fit my air compressor--I keep several on hand.

I bought the support too and have used him and Butch a lot. Great guys and they know Country Coaches! You can buy fittings at Home Depot, Lowes or any hardware store like was said before. Kevin did tell me that the ride controller was something I should keep as a spare.
