Air leverer questions

This is our first RV and we plan to be fulltiming in 2 months.

Were new to the air leveling in our 2004 Allure, Heck were new to the whole thing!!!

But on the air when we setup it levels fine then checks itself in 30 min and corrects, then it repeats this every 30 min and needs to run the air compressor and pump up the one side, This seems to me I have a leak or is this normal. I turned it off one night we were on a very level spot anyway. Any thoughs?

PS this entertainment system will take forever to figure out,Is there a class on it LOL

Welcome to the RV CC world. We have a 2002 36' Intrigue and have been on the road for 2.5"yrs. now and loving it, most of the time. I assume you have the air bag system and not the jacks. Ours will go up and down as the day heats up and cools down. If it does this all the time you may have a leak. Finding it can be a problem. One thing to note is when it goes down check to see where it's going down, in the back, front, r or l side. I had to replace both my rear r and l air valves.
If you want a preview of what your full time life might be you're welcome to check out our blog at: PAMPERED PENGUIN (if you look through the whole thing you should be able to figure out the parts that we weren't loving it it may help you from going through some of the same screw ups we had.)
Good luck and happy trails.

You have a leak.
We have camped for a month or more and the system never had to re-level the coach.

Whilst I would not say with certainty you either have or do not have a leak I suspect not. We tend to have the same issue if the bags are well extended to cope with a bad pitch, equally if the sun is on one side of the coach it too can cause differences in level as the air expands and contracts with temperature changes over night for example. If you press the stop button you can eliminate the checks by the system, then use a spirit level to see what happens over a few days. This should identify a leak perhaps? We had the problem 2 camp sites back, here we are on a very level pitch in the shade and no pumping has occurred in 4 days.

If it runs 48 times in 24 hours you probably have a leak. Most likely at one of the valves.

I hit one that was leaking with a wrench two years ago and it is still working fine.

If the electric compressor runs occasionally during the first 24 hours that can be normal.

We generally level the coach first and then dump the air to put the step close to the ground and gain a bit of stability. Most times it remains level after dumping.
