Any iRV2 People At Premier RV Of Oregon?
Pulled in to Premier Of Oregon about an hour and a half ago and was surprised to see so many coaches here for service or delivery.
Am glad business is picking up but the selfish part of me wishes for less congestion.
We're on the west side of the long building looking out on the Winne/CC lot with a passel of Tours parked next to their building. They look like new-manufacture since they don't have license plates.

Those Tours would be new. They were manufacturing Tours when we were there last September....not in full swing but we counted five in various stages of production.

When we where there in May, I had heard they where building 10 each of the Journey and the Tour. Then the rumor was they would start building CC's. Will be in the area end of July, will be looking for information.

And, unfortunately, it was confirmed that any new CC's would not be on a Dynomax chassis when I was there late last month.

As we were leaving last Friday we saw a cluster of bare-bones chassis parked on the north end of the Winne/CC compound. They were not Dynomax so I assume they were Freightliner. That said, they could turn into Winnebagos as easily as Country Coaches.

When we were there in September, I noted the absence of any chassis on the compound, even though they were building Tours. Eric told me that the chassis' were being delivered to Forest City, IA and they were installing the framing for the windshield, dash, etc, then shipping the chassis to JC for the rest of the job. He said this was temporary. Sounds like they are now getting chassis' delivered from Gaffney directly to JC.
Were they all tag axle?

Sorry, I don't remember. Just caught a glimpse of them as we were exiting. Am certain that they were not Dynomax though.
When we were looking to buy our current coach Susan of Premier RV lent us a video depicting the construction of a Dynomax chassis. Those chassis had a different stance than the ones we saw last week.

Winnebago had to wait for the specialized equipment to do the chassis modifications to be installed. Must be done now.

Yes, you're right. I just did not get close enough to see a badge but am happy to believe that they are Freightliners.

Tonite it looked like about a half dozen new RVs in the lot getting ready for delivery. Glad Winnebago is making RVs on the West Coast! Also glad they service and repair ALL their motorhomes here!

If you have a chance, and are allowed, see if you can have a look see at one of those. I'm curious about the fit and finish inside and out, as well as the paint finish. The pace is slower at this point, with some of the old CC workers employed......all new hands.
My coach is really very good.....but not absolutely perfect. I'm wondering how they compare. I hope to examine one for myself one of these days.
Like I say, just curious [emoji4]
Regards,
W.D.

The service side is across the street from the manufacturing building, so I can't get close enough to check quality, but they sure look beautiful all lined up in a row!

I toured one of the Junction City made Tours at a Guarantee RV show ... It was nice to look at, but still a Winnebago. If they do decide to produce a Country Coach, I hope that they step the quality up to the degree that CC owners expect from a CC and produce a hi-line coach.
