Automatic Diverter Valve For Hurricane Loop

Does anyone know what this part is and where I can get one? The previous owner of my coach removed it when he bypassed the Hurricane Furnance and I am trying to find the part and make my Hurricane system functional again.
The parts diagram has it located in the engine bay and it shows it has an inlet from the engine and another inlet from the coolant return line from the heat exchangers. There are two outlets that then join back together after 6".
Or is this part even needed?

You might try doing an Internet search to find the manufacturer website or dealer that you can call for help to figure out what part you need.

I did find a part # for it after calling Country Coach, Aquahot and also Webasto.
It is a discontinued part that none of those three could provide any recommendation for a suitable replacement.
It is a Aquahot part #WPX-153-94A. I was also given part # 462.551 (or 462551) which Webasto thought might have been an old part number of theirs but nothing was coming up in their system.
The Aquahot part number comes up to buy online for $450 and even has a picture. I am going to see if I can find something else as it doesn't appear to be anything more than molded plastic.

I'm surprised you're getting relevant info from AH and Webasto. Hurricane systems are made by ITI (Hurricane heating systems – Itrheat), perhaps they have the info you're looking for.

Thanks - I forgot to mention I talked to them as well and they didn't have any recommendations.

You might try contacting Rixen's in Sandy, OR. They were a Hurricane distributor and they serviced my unit about 2 years ago (via the prior owner); they seemed to be pretty much the Hurricane experts for many years.
