Awning won't retract

Have a problem with our 05 Magna, one of the big patio awnings, (Zip-Dee) is stuck, extended about 30 inches, won't come in or go out...Have checked and reset the circuit breaker and put a new battery in the remote..Nothing works..... Any ideas out there, I'm afraid to drive it down the road to a dealer with it stuck out like that...

You should have info/manual on the awning in the box of info CC provided, if that is with the coach? Usually they have a manual method of operating, with instructions in this manual. If not, call the awning manufacturer and ask for guidance on how to pull it back in.

Good luck!!!

See if you can trace the power line from switch to battery. Mine has an in line fuse which got corroded and would not allow power to pass thru. I cleaned it and put electrical grease on it -- works fine now.

Manual crank up at the awning. My rear awning is acting goofy sometimes it works, most times not. I called Zip Dee and was told by the tech that the manual crank is on the unit. They sell a wheel but he told me it's a male fitting you can use a socket and power drill to wind it in. Sorry but i don't recall the size. Once in, zip tie it shut and disconnect the controller. I'd call Zip Dee. They really have good tech supporr.
