I had a very irritating banging sound coming from above the passenger seat, up high near ceiling. I was on roof, in stereo cabinet, all over, but I finally found it. It was one of the big scissor members for the slide out, located behind the passenger seat. There were a couple loose bolts (holding entire slide out mechanism to side of coach) and a loose bearing up near the top of one of the scissor arms. That bearing has a 1/2" pin with a few plastic spacers. It was all very stiff and dry. When I pulled and pushed on the scissor arm, that bearing would "tick" and it transmitted the sound through the scissor arm. That arm is huge, 2 X 4 inch channel iron and acted like an amplifier. It was like somebody hit the metal arm with a hammer. Bang! Anyway, I sprayed some good penetrating oil and white lithium grease into all the joints and bearings, tightened all the bolts, and it is pure quiet now driving down the road. One of the worst parts of the job was hooking back up the spring loaded accordion shade behind the passenger seat which hides all of this hardware. You have to stand on your head and reach way in the cabinetry and moldings to reattach stubborn clips. I hate those stubborn window shade clips, especially when you can't see them, do it all by feel.... Anyway, job is done. On to the next!
