Basement Door Switches

Does anyone know where I can locate replacement basement door switches? These are the simple single wire "push" type that turn on the compartment light(s). Several have broken and need to be replaced. Thanks for your suggestions. — Chuck

any auto parts store.

"plunger" switches get used for all sorts of auto application
(trunk, hood, door, etc)

getting the *exact* size style and type that you have now?
well, that might even happen too

fwiw... my rig only had one of these (the sewage compartment) but I've eliminated it and use the switch on the light fixture itself. One less thing in the circuit.

Not just any push (plunger) switch will work, nor do I want to 'modify' the application. I'm looking for an exact replacement switch with threaded exterior for adjustable bulkhead positioning such as that needed for the Onan generator stop switch. I've been searching manufacturers/distributors I haven't found them yet.

For those interested, this is called a "Pin Switch" and is produced by Directed Electronics and comes in a 5-pack for about $10. Part number #8601 and looks like these. — Chuck

8601 is a magnetic switch and not a pin switch.

Oops! The correct part number is #8607, ADJUSTABLE HEAVY DUTY PIN SWITCH not 8601
