Battery Boost - Another What is this Switch Thread

I have a battery boost switch on my driver's side console as described in my owner's manual.

I also seem to have another on the dash but don't find it mentioned in the manual. It looks factory and is right next to my "VMS Display" switch.

Any help?

Battery boost is used to tie the house batteries to the chassis batteries so that if your chassis batteries are low you can still start the rig. You hold it down until started and then release. FYI -- we're currently using this until we get the chassis batteries replaced.

Can't help you on the other one.

The switch labeled VMS is to turn on your Silverleaf so you can play/program the display without turning the ignition key on( on my 2006 Allure). I had to ask the same question as my manual didn't explaning the VMS switch

Guess I didn't do a good job asking my question. I know the purpose of battery boost and I know what VMS Display Switche does.

What I don't know is why I have two Battery Boost switches. The one in the left pic is described in the Owner's Manual but there is no mention of the one labeled "Battery Boost" on the dash. Surely CC wouldn't have installed two switches that do the same thing so closely to one another?

Cool Time for the "Dumb" response

What happens when the switch is pushed?

It could be a boost switch for the GENERATOR battery.

Given the engine charges the engine battery and the converter charges the coach batteries and if the generator has a seperate battery that may be used to power memory, clocks and other MBS there is a possibility that CC added the ability to boost the generator battery to allow it to be started in order to charge the coach batteries so they may be used to boost the engine batteries...

It could have been a special order by the original buyers as cheap insurance.
Just a dumb guess...
