Battery Connections

2004 Allure
Finally after the many medical issues both my wife and I have over come we decided to have the upgrades to our coach my wife wanted. After four months of waiting during the process we are ready to ride but just after two weeks of sitting while preparing for our journeys the batteries quit. We replaced all batteries; house (4) AGM's and chassis (1) 8D. The house batteries stopped working while with inverter message, error; battery low, start charger. It had been plugged into shore power for (2) days the week before. After connecting the power switch and having only the tv and its accessories on for 10 minutes that message appeared. Any thoughts would be helpful. Going back tomorrow to the company that installed the batteries but was hoping to have an answer for this dilemma.

After quick look it looks like the batteries are hooked in series/parallel which is right. What voltage are your batteries sitting at? What voltage do they have with the inverter/charger on? Did they change the settings for the AG batteries.

Have not checked the voltage yet, just have so many things going to ready ourselves for our trips. Go point on the settings option for the AGM's I will make note of that for our appointment tomorrow. Thanks, I would have not thought of that.

I would agree that you should check the voltage at the batteries first but the series/parallel wiring looks correct from what I can see in the photos. When you check settings on the charger also check to see if any breakers need to be reset on the charger. Seems to me the symptoms point to the charger or maybe the transfer switch. Something may have gotten tripped during the install of the new batteries.

In the picture the manual chassis disconnect is in the "off" position. Double check to ensure this disconnect and the house disconnect solenoid are in the "on" position.
