Bendix Air Dryer ID

How does one identify which unit we have? I could call Gillig but that always takes a couple days. I have a few dry days coming this week and want to crawl under the front and try to service it. Last January I was in some real cold weather (5 degrees) and I heard it cycle repeatedly. I have had the coach for about 6 years and have never addressed it till now. Anyone know much about these critters?

The air dryer filter(desiccant filter) should be changed every 2-3 yrs for MH's, air brake trucks and bus's change them at least annually due to useage. They usually fail due to oil contamination, as moisture is purged out when you hear the pop/hiss.

There are three major brands of air dryers Haldex, Bendix and Meritor, they are quality units. Any truck repair shop will have the dryer/filter and rebuild kits. Just take a clear picture of yours and visit any truck parts store or compare your pictures to the websites, those truck repairs shops usually have them in-stock.
This . video shows and explains how to perform an air brake test, which should be performed prior to every days drive.
