Best Place to find a good used Country Coach
We've finally narrowed our motorhome search to a high quality used coach -- preferably 38-42 foot with a tag axle. Needless to say Country Coach is high on our list. Wondering where the best place to find a good used coach is. We're located in far south Texas so it's a long way to anywhere for us :-)

Best Place to find a good used Country Coach
Howdy
Welcome to IRV2, and the Country Coach group.
In Texas, a web site I always look at is Luxury Pre-Owned Motorhome Dealer for Foretravel Newell Country Coach.
Never been there, but they usually have a few on the lot.
Diesel Motorhomes for Sale - PPL Motor Homes usually has some listed as well.
Anyway, welcome and good luck in your travels.
Bob

Try oodle.com just put in what you're looking for and check the right box and it will email you updates as they show up. This search engine checks all over the web and consolidates your searches in one place. It does not work for craigslist. To search craigslist and ebay try SearchTempest: Search all of Craigslist nationwide & more . Plan on spending some time finding coaches that your interested in and also plan on doing some travel to check them out. No matter how glowing the add is they are not usually as good as they sound. Good Luck and Happy Hunting

As you may, or may not know, CC has changed direction a bit with new ownership, as of Dec. 2015.
Ron Lee and the staff were there for the support of CC products, and there goal was to reintroduce the Class A again. But the costs were just beyond their ability. Ron had the boys build a demonstrator for himself, but time was running out and he has sold CC to Winnebago , with the assurance that they will continue to support the CC dream. (We all know what big companies do with dreams?)
Ron took the only 2016 CC with him when he left, so whether the new ownership continues on the original path, time will tell??????
CC had great products, and have had great factory support the last couple years at Junction City.
We all hope that continues.
Dave

Glad you joined us.
There are several RV dealers in Texas. PPL in Houston always has a large inventory. A web search will give you many dealers which may be near you. BTW if you find the coach for you, it's worth travelling to get it.
Good luck with your search and Happy Trails!!!

Well, 2 Stroker beat me to it! We bought ours from Premier RV in Junction City OR. Good, straight shooters IMHO.
But, one caveat: Stay away from the ISX 650. Seems Cummins might not have done enough R & D on it.

Motorhomes of Texas in Nacogdoches treated us right. They usually have a few Country Coaches and Foretravels. Inventory changes regularly. We've also gone back for service and been happy.

Ironically I went all the way to Texas to get the Country Coach I wanted. All the advice I saw listed in this thread is sound. My advice would be to look everywhere you can as much as possible until you're sick of looking. At that point you'll be much more educated on what's available in your budget and the good deals will stand out while choose a coach based on a solid fundamtal knowledge over emotion. Once you choose the right coach for you let the emotion begin and have a blast! My two cents.

Now Motorhomes of Texas has a 2010 Magna on their site that looks nice, has the ISX 600 engine. A little different floor plan that ours too. Web site is wrong about the trans though, says it's a "HD 4060" but its a 4000MH.
2010 is the year CC went out of business so that might be something to take into consideration as some we completed after the shut down by, as I understand it, non-production line workers.

I know of a 2005 37' Allure with tag, 400ISL, that I am told by a reliable source is in excellent condition. Send me a Private Message for details.

Don't know if this will meet what you are looking for. But Lyle is a well known CC owner over on the Yahoo CC User Group, and he and his wife have decided the time is right to let their coach go.

One tip, don't just look for the lowest all price. Sometimes it is worth paying more, to get a coach that has been well maintained, and even upgraded along the way. May cost a bit more upfront, but that extra should pay dividends in the comfort of knowing it is in good shape, and will take good care of you.
Best of luck to you,
Smitty

As you know we didn't look for the lowest price, didn't get the lowest price, did all the testing of engine oil and change of all filters and still had very expensive repairs!
