Bright shiny wheels

I hand polish my rims with Mother’s Wheel and Aluminum Polish. What do the wise sages on the forum do to keep their pristine wheels the envy of the park?

My 3" pneumatic angle polisher speeds the process, but requires redoing. Some commercial polishers can more effectively seal the aluminum, which can be clear-coated for further longevity. I've only had that done on a custom Vette intake manifold.

I do the same as you, OP, I hand polish with Mother's aluminum polish. My wheels look great and I've been getting a lot of compliments. Others on this forum really like Flitz metal polish also, although it's somewhat more expensive.

I use California Custom Purple Polish and their aluminum deoxidizer. I start with the deoxidizer to speed up the polishing process and the use a Mother's ball and/or cone to finish using the Purple Polish. I buff it out with either a hand rag or with a power buffer to get it done faster. Great shine. The hardest thing on the beautiful polished finish are brighteners or ammonia based cleaners that are used in truck washes. I apply 303 Protectant while I'm doing the wheels. The contrast of a jet black tire and a polished wheel is my favorite and I don't have to cover the tires. The Purple Polish isn't at all like most metal polishes. I do use mothers aluminum polish to erase the fog in my headlights though.

X2 except I've yet to use aluminum polish on the headlights. May try that. Thanks for the tip.

Flitz and a power ball. Also use the Flitz on the fogged headlights

Spray my tires and wheels with Aerospace 303 protectant

They both look great

Well I am a convert. I used California Custom deoxidizer, then Purple Polish, wow. What shine. Sealed it with 303. Thanks for the tip!

Buy a powerball, put in your drill, saves a ton of time!
Wash the ball after two wheels as the aluminum builds up.
Microfiber to wipe clean.
