Carefree slide topper, what a mess!

Finally got a nice weekend so decided to start putting my new Stone Vos toppers on the coach.

I have the Carefree SOKIII Summit toppers. In the process of removing the aluminum cover to gain access to the roller, I found a ton of debris (dirt, pine needles, oak tree droppings, etc.) packed in the bottom of the cover. My covers release with spring loaded pins and the bottom pins were rusted fast due to all this wet stuff laying the cover. Dealing with this turned the job into a much more difficult task.

So, a warning to any of you with these particular mechanisms..... you can release the top pins and rotate the cover down and look inside. If you have this same situation, get the hose and prepare to get messy cleaning it out.

Thanks for the "heads up".
