Cat C10 engine?

I have spent most of my research time looking at coach's with Cummin's engines and have learned a lot about those motors. Can you give me a rundown on the Cat engines, in particular, the C10? Looking at a 36' Magna.

Maintenance issues?

Durability?

Cooling problems, in particular radiator issues as I was told there was a specific model year that had radiator problems when they went to aluminum components on the radiator?

Normal maintenance intervals and any unusual costs to maintain?

Any other issues?

Thanks in advance

C- stands for cat
10, 12,13,15 is the size of motor
then you must look at what power rating is attached to that particular motor. a C-12 is usually either a 425, or 505 power rating.
Radiator varies, mine has an copper/steel
my friends 2000 36 intrigue has the same, but i have seen ones that have alum. in them. From my experience it was the lower models that started with the alum first. I have seen more alum after 2004 then earlier, but this is just what i`ve seen, not set in stone.

I have a 2000 Magna with a C10 Motor, can't give you much personnel info have only only owned her for 1 yr but I do have the records from the previous owner, they had no repairs only general maintenance items done. I have put about 3k miles on her and she just purrrs for me. Has about 80k miles presently, have been very pleased so far. By the it is rated at 385HP.

Re the rad's, it didn't matter which engine. We have the Cummins ISL 400 and had an aluminum radiator that started to leak after CC went out of business. We replaced it with a steel+copper one and it ended up lowering our trans temps quite a bit.

I bought my 2000 40' magna in Oct 2010 and it had a cracked charge air cooler at the time. The price was right so I figured I could have the cooler replaced. That was close to $5000 with parts, labor, shipping, and taxes. CC had problems with the aluminum CAC they were using in that time frame and it is my understanding that many were replaced under warranty. I've got a CAT C10 with side radiator.
