Caution- Road Kill

We were driving South on I-5 near Lake Shasta and noticed road kill near the road. As we approached, a large bird (eagle?)swooped down to have lunch. He saw us and tried to go up again. He almost made it. He hit the top of the windshield and shattered it. It was the passenger side so we could keep going.
Talked to another RV'er later and he told of approaching road kill. As he got close, two birds were startled and rose up. They hit his windshield. Broke both sides.
Be careful out there!

Thats a great heads up! Like the deer that is 3/4s the way across the road and decides to turn back when he sees you coming ...Ouch! As always we need to be reminded to drive defensively. Thanks Ron
