Sale of a company's real estate property does not mean the company is abandoning their business plan. It may simply be a re-capitalization, or liquidation of a non-core asset to raise capital.

Sometimes it is better to sell, and lease back property so it is a deductible lease expense vs depreciating asset. Move it from the balance sheet to the P/L statement.

I recommend prudence and respect to CCI to simply wait and watch rather than jump to conclusions and stir the rumour mill pot.

My thoughts.
Brian

Same here. This is a good way to get a little walking around money. Heard the finished coach will be making a trip to Sturgis in August.

CC land for sale - get your answers from the source

If you are interested in what is currently happening at Country Coach Corporation I would suggest that you check out their Facebook BEFORE making negative assumptions! Think your in for a surprise....I do not understand why some people always jump to negativity first?

I don't see any negativity here. just people wondering what's going on.

Why do people assume negativity when there isn't any?

It could be just a money grab.

Many of the cell carriers spent tons of cash to build their networks and work was fast as the network needed to be built to provide the service to sell.

Now sitting on financed towers that are a huge expense they sell them to tower management companies with stupid cheap rent to both unload the liability of the tower but to also get a wad of cash and net reduction of opex.

They then can spend that new money on further network build.

CC may not have a family to hand off the dead assets otherwise known as real estate to or instead of paying huge intrest to borrow to build they seek investors to buy the real estate and lease back only what is needed netting a wad of fast cash.

In an email directly to CC asking if they were folding resulted in an answer of "no way" and to read the next edition of the Destinations magazine

I believe the Lee family leased the facility to National RV/Country Coach Inc so the land was never part of the original CCI, NRV acquisition and then bankruptcy sale assets.

I would guess Bob Lee who founded CC does not need the land or building for future purposes and Ron Lee who opened the new CC does not need to own the land to occupy the facility.

Both are getting older and perhaps have better use for their invested cash.

So it is probably offered for sale with a tenant occupying the facility.

Just my speculation on the matter......

Well, we'll be there Monday and if I remember I'll ask. Need to pick up a couple items anyway.
