CC installed the wrong water heater??

I recently bought a used 2000 Allure CC from the original owner with only 36,000 miles. The build sheet on the bathroom cabinet shows a Atwood GCH10 Hot water heater The heater that is actually in the coach is a GCH6A-8E Everything I can find in the owners manuals and paper work call for a 10 gallon hot water heater for this Coach. I know this is the one that came in the coach new. So did CC just run out of 10 gallon hot water heaters when building the coach and stick in what they had available. I'm trying to replace the 120 volt electric element in the Hot water heater and discovered the smaller heater. The S/N matches what is on the heater and the build sheet though??? Oh well shorter showers I guess!

Good question, but they must have know about the change , in advance, because the 10 gal heater requires a bigger hole in the outside wall.
Kind of had to substitute the smaller heater if the hole is already in the wall.
