One wire should be red and one red with a strip. Mine was had to see so I place the new one in a place where I could see it when I open the door to the battery.

Mine has the echo charger just above the chassis battery like 2 Strokers. The light works & according to my meter it does receive a charge. I park mine in storage, plug it in with adapters and leave it. Once a month I go check the electrolyte level. I do not disconnect the house or chassis batteries.
