clear coat peeling

Have a 95 Magna Love coach but clear coat is peeling from the tan portion of the sides and back. The blue paint seems to be holding the clear. Anyone else find this problem or have an explanation for this prolem
Thanks
Greg

Greg, I think I replied to a message from you a couple of days ago, but cannot retrieve the message to be sure.

Yes, I and many others have had the problem of peeling clearcoat which is applied over gel coat. The fix ranges from removing the clear, applying paint, then reapplying the Clear to removing the Clear and routinely buffing the gelcoat.

I landed in the middle with a pro job done on my coach brow back to the horns. That has lasted 7 years and is still good.

I have made spot repairs using a rattle can of clearcoat.

Dean Thanks for the info. Found it strange that the clearcoat released fom the cream color only. Having the driver side repainted form top to blue line in middle. Paint shop believes the blue swirl/stripe is a decal with clearcoat sprayed over the entire coach. Clearcoat seems to be sticking to the decal and blue paint on lower portion.

Greg, I do not know what coach you have. But if a 1995 Magna, there is no decal. Only painted gelcoat and unpainted gelcoat.

The clearcoat will adhere to the paint better than the gelcoat.

The cream color is probably gelcoat with clearcoat on top. That is my situation.
