Coach Without Issues

My DW and I just completed a 3,600 mile six week journey from Dallas to the East coast, Charleston, Savannah, Hilton Head, etc without any coach issues. Just thought I would post this as most posts only deal with with issues.
I am VERY proactive in maintaining my coach.

We spent four months on the road last summer/early fall traveling from Virginia to Oregon and back without any real issues..... nothing that slowed us down. We did have some things done to the coach in terms of interior (new furniture) and some proactive service. However, just like a house I always expect to do some minor repairs along the way.

It is always a good thing to have a trip without issues in any motorized RV.

Never bored for long. We are nearing completion of a 3 month long winter trip from VA to AZ and this time we did have 'adventures:'

1. Low fuel pressure events resulting in a three night stay in a La Quinta with our two dogs while a shop in Kerrville, TX replaced a fuel rail pressure sensor and fuel rail pressure relief valve on our Cummins.

2. Failed front AC/Heat pump. Mobile tech in Tucson ordered a new one which arrived destroyed in the box due to improper packing at the factory and shipping it UPS instead of motor freight. Delayed another 5 days while we waited for a second new AC unit to arrive.

3. Failing/noisy fuel pump in Aqua Hot burner. Replaced by same RV tech in Tucson.

4. At the start of the trip, we discovered a leak in our shower skylight which caused some damage to the ceiling around the skylight. To be repaired properly when we get home.

5. Ran over an aerosol paint can on I-10 near Las Cruces which ruptured and sprayed the left side of my F150 toad with white paint. Auto detail shop in Deming, NM attempted to get the paint off but was only moderately successful. All of the black plastic trim, mirror, running boards, etc on driver's side will need to be replaced when we get home.

Always a potential adventure when traveling in any motorhome.

Still working on bringing ours up to our expectations after buying it last year, the engine repair and now fixing what Cummins Broke while in their shop. The I can get to fixing what was supposedly checked when we bought it. My fault for believing that the PDI actually was done correctly. Turns out all the tech did was turn stuff on, if it ran he OK'd it', never checked the total functionality. The auto gen start doesn't work at all and Silverleaf says the signal isn't getting through to the Intellitec setup and suggests wiring around it.
Almost wish we had our 13 year old Dutch Star back!

14,000 miles last year and I just checked our repair expenses. $23.17 for a hard start capacitor for the one roof air conditioner. That's it. I'm a happy camper.

I feel good when we can go to the coast and come home with O problems. Just kidding, so far so good but I did just spend $2k this week having the tow set up Pay to Play.

Always enjoy reading positive posts on forums. You're correct that most posts seem to be negative in nature and we sometimes lose sight of the fact that there are more non-events than bad events when it comes to reports. As they say, a building that isn't burning, isn't news!

Getting ready for a cross country trip from Oregon to Florida and the Carolinas and back shortly, ourselves.
