I bought a 7" LCD flat screen monitor used as a seat back TV, and replaced the B/W camera with a color camera I mounted in the same box the old one was in. I also added a right side camera mounted in the mirror pedestal. I can select inputs with a touch of a button and now have color. I had to solder wires to fit the plugs the new components used, but it wasn't hard or complicated. I did the whole job for about $45. I had to adapt the 7" monitor to mount in the hole in the dash that had held the old 4"? CRT monitor, that took the most work to make it look good.

Replaced my camera and monitor system with a new 7" unit from Costco on line they don't sell it in their stores. I spliced in the new camera plug at the rear and up front so I didn't have to run the new cable. Had a couple of wires extra in the old cable.

Thanks Driveit55, I searched their website but could not find the item you list. I have just installed a pioneer single din stereo. Camera has tint film on exterior lens cover and I can just make out my toad. I remove the tinted film and the screen gets completely washed out white. Any suggestions?

Often on screen settings are available to adjust brightness, contrast, etc. Have you checked owner's manual for the display?
