Country Coach gives update on new production

I just got this an hour ago.

"The first Country Coach motorhome on a Dynomax chassis is taking shape in our proto shop. By the time you read this the 500 HP ISX-12 engine and Allison MH4000 transmission will be sitting in a shiny new chassis. It will be Spring before I get a chance to drive the new Allure 45' four slide coach. I can hardly wait!"

So that answers a few more questions about the first new coaches.

That ought to tighten the backsides of a couple of other manufacturers!

I snooped around as much as I could when we were at CC for a full week this past July. If they had anything started on this prototype, they were tight lipped about it.

I wish them well and hope they get in full production next year. Those of us with used CC's can only benefit from their success.

If they do get to a point where they are in full production, it will be interesting to see if they suffer from the same QC/QA issues as many others building coaches.

Also, wonder if they will try and develop a dealer network or will they do direct sales and factory delivery?

Love it the more competition the better for us, the consumer. We have friends with a 98 Magnum and there is another Magnum in our park in great shape. Very high quality coaches. Certainly is exciting can't wait to see the floor plan.

Do you think this is the start of a production run or just a demo model to try and lure investors so they can get to a production stage?

It is of course great that the Lee family is getting back into making new motorhomes. But is is also great for Lane County, Oregon, and RVers out here on the west coast. Lane County and Oregon have a long tradition of making rv's. There is still quite a population of skilled people in this area to work on the new Country Coaches. As a west coast RV'er I like driving to Oregon to the factory. For all west coast people that is a heck of a lot closer than Indiana or Alabama.

I was very happy to see that the new coach will use the Dynomax Chassis. To me that is one of the greatest strengths of a CC coach. There is a huge difference in have a wrap around welded steel semi-monocoque chassis than driving a house that is bolted on to a frame.

That IS exciting news! As west-coasters, it would be great to have a luxury motorhome manufacturer out here again. We're going to have to replace our coach at some point... and would love to have easy access to factory service!

Great news! Thanks for posting.
