Country Coach Inspire

I am contemplating purchase of an 06-07 CC Inspire, 40ft. Anyone have thoughts on problems/quality of this Model?
I would appreciate your advice.

Doug

You should be able too find threads that discuss various models of Country Coach. From what I've read, they made very high quality RV's. I'd love to buy a 32ft CC Intrique, but nobody sells theirs. Kinda tells me something! Good luck!

Or if you could go with an Allure, there is this:

Both of those are awesome but well above what I can afford. I'm staying below $40k, so Country Coach is a dream. Guess I'll have to lower my standards and get a Safari, Beaver, or Monaco 😜

Country Coach is a great coach just have it check out.
Check to see if it has had the wet PTO installed a must have.
CHELSEA PTO
Check the radiator to see if it has had the Copper and Steel rad installed because in time most will start to leak.
Check to see if the valves have been adjusted if it is a Cat, First adjustment 20000mi.
Check for any fogged windows, just had all of mine done $$$$
If you find one with a Cat call the Cat Hot line to see if anything has been done. 1-877-777-3126
See if the Not-So-Cold has had the recall done, just something that sounds good, the only fix is a RR frig.
This is not my coach but mine is the same thing
Samsung Refrigerator Install
Check tire dates, mine 8 years old 17000mi, NEW tires $4200
They drive like a dream, keep us posted

Thanks, valuable info. Can you see the difference in the replacement radiator? I appreciate the CAT hotline number. Thanks again.

Doug,

I have a 2007 Inspire with the original radiator at 75,000+ miles. They don't all fail but many have. I also have the Cummins ISL 400 diesel. I'd be happy to answer any questions you may have.

Thanks Barney,

I saw my first one with the 400 Cummins listed the other day, was that an option or did they switch over. CAT said it wouldn't supply engines after 07 because of emissions requirements? I wonder if the Radiator problems is a CAT thing?

Doug,
From what I've heard the radiator issue had nothing to do with Caterpillar. The company who supplied the radiators quite simply built poor-quality radiators, and that wasn't caught by Country Coach until they had installed quite a few of them.

And certainly not only a CC problem, this his other coachbuilders too. (Figure most of you knew that, but anyone researching CC's in general, may see it as something that CC did wrong... Many owners of non CC's were also impacted.)

Best to all,
Smitty

Hi Doug,

On our Inspire the Cummins was a $4,900 option. The original owner kept the window sticker. The Aqua Hot was over $7K!

CAT dropped out of all the on-the-road uses because they didn't want to keep up with the emission requirements I was told.

Full Timer

CC Inspire 51651 Genoa 2006 61000 mil, CAT 400. This is a very tall motorhome 13ft + including the a/c's 102 wide body, 30" entry door, one of the best food pantries for full timing, adequate storage inside and out, high ceiling, all your wiring has numbers on then for easy tracing, cabinets inside the slid outs are mounted high.. Just a small list of thing that could be helpful when the time come, one more thing the heat pumps work's great Good Luck...

We are happy with our 08 Inspire, 4 slide, DaVinci model CC. Always things that need to be fixed or updated, but this is a solid low frills (from a technology perspective) coach. We have the Cummins 425 turbo and plenty of power to pull a full size truck. Let us know if you have specific questions.
