Country Coach Motorhomes

We are in the process of buying a motorhome, but are not really sure what model to get. Does anyone know the difference in the models in the Country Coach line, which is the best on down the line.

thank you

Some CC owners should be right along.

The CC pecking order (I may not have it quite right) is as follows from bottom to top:

Inspire
Allure
Intrigue
Affinity
Magna

(not sure but I may have the Magna and Affinity reversed).

They are all pretty nice rigs and have a lot of features. Our Allure is pretty much loaded with features and is a sturdily built coach.

I am sure other CC owners will help fill you in.

The best bang for the buck is the Allure. The only reason I bought an Intrigue is because the aqua hot wasn't available in the Allure in my model year

1. Prevost conversion by CC
2. Lexa
3. Affinity
4. Magna
5. Intrigue
6. Allure
7. Inspire
8. Tibute

This is from most luxurious to least. There are a few others like the Concept that I didn't include due to the age. Not to say that someone can't take an old coach and make something really nice though.

Few differences between Magna and Affinity. A few things that are optional on Magna might be standard on Affinity. You very seldom see any Lexa or Prevost conversions for sale. I suspect not too many were made.

Good info above, as noted the Magna is below the Affinity. We had CC on our buying list years back before buying our TS. We felt the Allure or Intrigue would have been the one's for us. Good luck shopping.

Probably the least known are the Rhapsody and the Mystique because of very low production numbers.

The Rhapsody was above the Lexa and the Mistique was probably in line with the Tribute

The biggest obvious difference between the Magna and Affinity in the 05 and newer models are flush windows in the Affinity. Affinitys and Magnas also have over-the-road air conditioning in the bedroom--not available in the "lesser" models.

Shel - A fellow named Damon Reposo has posted Country Coach brochures on line. Google him and Country Coach and you will get the original literature.

Blue Grass RV had it right, but not for all years. In Affinity, Magna, Intrigue, and Allure were made from the mid 1990's on. But as far as I know the rest were only made some years.

1. Prevost conversion by CC
2. Lexa
3. Affinity
4. Magna
5. Intrigue
6. Allure
7. Inspire
8. Tibute

IMHO - This list of most expensive to least expensive or "pecking order" is of minimal importance. All Country Coaches are better than 90% of the other brands out the for sale used. Foretravel is the only one who I think is comparable in quality on regular production type coaches.

What counts is which coach has the right floorplan to meet your needs. So drive a bunch and narrow it that way. We bought our Affinity because of it's beautiful semi-custom interior and exterior a bit out of the ordinary. Plus the drive was the most stable of the motorhomes I tested. Then there is the immensely powerful Cat C12 motor with 505 hp and 1550 lbs of torque. It was a bit older than we wanted. Had more miles than we wanted. And one less slide than we wanted. But as it turns out none of those things mattered. Very good quality motorhomes last a long time so age is less important than you think and that is true with miles too. And if buying another motorhome I would get the exact same configuration we did on slides. I don't like passenger side front slides. Gets in the way when I want into the basement storage.

If in doubt on a particular coach call one of the experts in Junction City. The CC factory. OMC (Oregon Motor Coach) or Kevin Waite. They are happy to help you.
