Country Coach Sway Bar Bracket

Our 2003 Intrigue 32 ft recently developed a "clunk" in the left front even on small bumps. I met another 2003 Intrigue owner and he said he had to replace broken "U" bracket on sway bar. I checked and mine was broken. Just wondering if anyone else experienced this problem.

Broken Sway Bar Bracket

Sorry to here that your sway bar bracket broke. I have a 2006 Inspire (34') and the bracket broke on mine when I was making a corner and hit a pot hole. However the fix was easy. I called the manufacturer Roadmaster and they provided me with another bracket, cushion and bolts. If you are handy with tools and fairly strong it is not that big of an issue to replace. I give Roadmaster an A+ for their service and commitment to customer satisfaction. Good luck, Rick.

Thanks, I have the parts coming from the "New" Country Coach" and plan to replace them myself.

I have a 2005 inspire, same thing happened to me while hitting bump, easy fix once I figured out the problem. What made it worse is front airbag height adjustment comes off that sway bar. I was bottoming out because the sway bar had moved when bracket broke. All good now.

My height adjustment remained engaged so I didn't have any suspension problems. Lucky I guess.

I have a 2005 Inspire and had the same thing happen twice. The most recent time I had the bracket on both sides beefed up. No more problems. It was pretty obvious that the bracket was weak.

We broke the right side bracket on our 2005 Allure 470 in December. With the front wheels at max left deflection,we backed out of our pad and the "v" shape drain/curb must have stressed the bar as we heard the clanking shortly thereafter.I ordered two new brackets thru Premier Motor coach of Tucson and installed the new bracket myself in about ten minutes.I was told there is a beefed up version of the bracket since it's not unusual to break the OEM bracket. You can reach Premier at 520-624-2024.Good Luck................

Does anyone have any info on a heavy duty or beefed up bracket?

I purchased my new brackets directly from the manufacturer - Roadmaster in Vancouver, WA. So far they have performed well. I would suggest calling them to innquire if they have stronger brackets.

Follow up to post #7. When I talked about the brackets I meant the ones that the U clamp mount to. That is what is weak and I had a shop build up the thickness of the metal with welded plate and then remounted the "U" clamp with the new bushing.

The image is from "Neway" for adjusting the rideheight but it shows the torsion/sway bar and the U clamps with the bushings that I ordered from Neway.
