Timely post!! I have two yearly phases of maintenance, and one of them is in the month of January! This phase includes inspection of calking, eternabond, basement door gaskets, and then a smaller list of mechanical items.

Last year, I elected to only do a visual of the skylight, as it is now under four out of our five solar panels. (4 are on rails, and span across the skylight.) I think this year, I'll unmount the panels over the top of the skylight, and do a more thorough inspection. The first year we after we bought the coach, I re-calked, and then also enternabond'ed the skylight seams on all sides except the curb of the roof. That was just re-calked, and from good visual access via ladder, was looking good last year.

Water will find away to get in. We have, and knew about it when I bought the coach, one small soft spot between the closet and the bed. I stopped the leak from around the slide area within a few weeks of purchase. When we replace the carpet, I'll cut out and repair the soft spot at that time.

Knock on wood, preferred over MDF(-!), all of our windows are still water tight!

Best to all,
Smitty

Smitty, a quick way to check that skylight would be to just remove the 8 screws that hold the inner liner and drop it out. You can easily visualize the skylight-to-roof interface. I sure wish I had done that back this summer.

Well, darn!! I took some pictures but I can't find them right now! Must be on my laptop. I'll look later tonight at work.
Yep, they definitely went overboard on wood thickness and taking away storage. When I have time I'll look into redoing the cabinet shown below. Sorry, the forum turns the pictures sideways!

Note to the new Winnebago/CC company:

Don't use this stuff in anything you build, especially if it might be exposed to water:
This is what I have pulled out of the ceiling near the skylight so far:
I guess you can call it MDF stew!
