Datcon gauges no lights? Or dash eyebrow lights

I just got done installing a new back up camera in my coach. I recently discovered that my dash lights don't work, even the eyebrow lights aren't working, but the lights for my heater/fan work fine. They gauges work fine, just no light.

It might be caused from my back up camera installation which is confusing because I used the same wiring that my oem camera had. I have looked for a loose wire and can't seem to locate anything. I have checked the fuse panels. The fuse for the circuit says the dash lights and clearance lights are on the same circuit. All my clearance lights work fine.

Is there a dimmer switch somewhere? I was wondering if the switch went bad, but I can't seem to locate one.

My coach is a 2000 Allure.

Thanks

Think you knocked a connection loose? Check all the fuses to.

We have a 2000 allure also. Our dash lights and dash brow lights are controlled by two dimmer switches on the left of the steering wheel, on the dash with the gauges. My dash lights, gauges don't work either. The brow lights do. I looked under the dash and noticed that one wire from the dimmer switch that controls the gauge lights was pulled out of the switch. If you take a flashlight and lay on your back and take a few minutes to stare upwards under dash you can figure out the wiring. Our wires were tight and that's why the one pulled out of the switch. Maybe something similar happened to yours. Cheers!

Funjnt, I read your suggestion and thought "surely both my dimmer switches couldn't be turned down"? Well both of them were! I thought for sure it had something to do with my camera project. I guess it reminds me to start with the basics

Thanks for the help

I saved someone finally! Awesome to hear it was something easy. I like your cam upgrade and want to look at doing it in our rig but we have the silverleaf installed in center of dash to right of dimmer switches. I have to measure the area and see if there is room. Glad to be of help.

Rear view safety also had a monitor that was almost identical to the CRT monitor in your coach now. It would almost be a direct replacement, check out the website. If you decide to do the upgrade PM me your number and we can chat about how I did mine. I owe you one, thanks for the help!

I replaced my b/u camera as well on my '99 Allure. I used the same loom just made the connections to fit. The new Voyager "Flat Screen" fit into the old CRT hole with a little modification and its really nice to have color now. Needed to get a new hood for the camera but all in all the project went well. I used Tim the owner at "RV Cams". Great guy and decent pricing. RV Cams: Backup Camera Systems (All)

Good luck.

My back up monitor was in a flip screen in the single din radio on the dash. I just replaced mine with a new single din flip out monitor and works great. Now I get all the latest and greatest thru my new dash radio, XM, blue tooth, usb connector and hooks right up to all the apps on my phone.
