Draining Ice Maker

Just brought home our new to us 37 ft 2007 CC Allure 470. I have put it into our storage spot and my questions are:
  1. With the refrigerator off, what is the easiest way to drain the water out of the ice maker?
  2. Is there a way to turn off the water to the ice maker?
I know I will have more questions in the future, so Thank You for all your help.
    Scott

It may depend on the refrigerator you have. I access the hose to the ice maker through the access panel on the outside of our MH. The 1/4 inch line runs into a solenoid valve and I disconnect the top and bottom hoses to let the water drain. Generally the 1/4 inch line runs into the coach to a filter. I our case it is under the sink in the kitchen. If so your may have a shut off valve on that line.

X2 on what njs42 said. There should be an inline water filter maybe in the storage bay that will need to be drained and changed also, but if you use air to blow the water lines out don't forget about the toilet valve and water heater. Max air pressure 40lbs and the last thing I did (Not-So-Cold 1200) was to remove the water ice maker line blow it out replace the line then in the spring check for leaks at the frig.
In CA it may not freeze but the line should drained then in the spring sanitized.
