Entry Door Piston 1999 Allure

The piston on the front entry door finally gave out. I cannot find a part # or manufacture on it. Does anyone know where I can find the replacement for it? It's a 1999 Allure 30307.
Thank you.

I still own my 99 Allure and it's coach number 30306! How cool is that?

Burfman,
My 98 is no help either as the markings have all weathered off. Go online and Google "gas springs, gas dampeners, gas struts". You'll get lots of hits where you can enter the dimensions ie: overall length, rod diameter, stroke, pressure and end fittings to come up with a replacement. I have used Industrial Hardware Direct and also eBay after getting a part number from the manufacturer's web site. Hopefully someone here with a "Vintage" CC can supply a number too. Good Luck!!
Regards

Hey guys, 2000 allure here 30476! Our door strut went last year and I took it to napa and they sized one up for me. They keep many of these in stock. The only thing is I think ours has too much force. I would recommend looking up Kevin Waite on here as I spoke with him about it. He is the CC tech that has a repair shop and also stocks CC parts. He has these in stock also. I think his number will come up if you do a search, he is on a lot of these forums. Good luck!

I just ordered one a few weeks ago for mine from rvupgrades With the door extended it was 20 inches from center to center of strut.

Camping World has them on the shelves. Pop off your old one and take it in to match it up.

Found the exact replacement with a 10lb pressure. Looked at Napa and they were $28/$32 and could not find a 10lb only 20's and 30's. Found this at rvupgradestore for $8.32. plus some 12 volt bulbs, 10 pack for $5.00, AutoZone wanted $6.00 for 2 so all is good. Thanks to all for your input.
