Do any of you have experience with using covers for your Fantastic Fans?

I like them. My fans don't have rain sensor shut off switch so it the covers help. The other thing I like about them is they knock down a lot of heat gain and sunlight in warmer locatations.

We put two covers on ours several years ago when the rainsensor on one failed to work. No issues since, and it makes leaving the vents open while driving a whole lot more effective. Safe travels.

We added two to cover our two fans a couple years ago. I like to leave one of the vents open a bit to get flow through ventilation.

Added covers to all 3 of our vents. Also added a switch to turn the fan off with the vent open. Leave the vents open all the time both driving and parked, weather permitting! Definitely save on air conditioning!

I can only put one cover on due to the awning proximity. I have the Girard style awnings that are above the roof.

I had covers on my previous coach and now have covers on my replacement coach. It's a no brainer. Helps with the rain, wind (significantly reduce the chance that the cover will get blown off in high winds or if you forget to close it while on the road), dirt, leaves/needles. The only downside is you have to take it off to clean or work on the fan and that's just four nuts to take off and keep track of.

After losing one of my vent covers from brittle failure I replaced the one unit completely and installed covers over all vents.

That cover is too tall, would shadow on solar panels. My OE cover is just fine, rain sensor works great.

I can understand your concern about the solar panel shadowing, but I sure don't want a rain sensor to shut the fan off if it rains. What I want is a cover that allows me to use the fan even if it is raining!

The vent covers do allow you to use the power vents when it's raining. That was the number one reason for putting on the vent covers. There is a reduced air flow with the covers but it is slight and the fact you can run your fan at any time more then makes up for loss of air flow.

Smoked covers on both of our fans. Being stuck in the rainy Pacific NW for the next 6 weeks, we're definitely appreciating being able to run our fans when it's raining, or to just leave them open (but not running) for ventilation under any conditions.
