fuel filter location ISC in a '04 Inspire

'04 CC Inspire with ISC here. Does anybody know who installs the fuel filters when this thing was built? For the life of me I only can find one right in the middle below the engine hatch on a fabricated bracket. It does screw on and has the H2O sensor on the bottom.

SCA cartridge filter on left side under intake along with spin on oil filter cartridge. Others saying they have two filters, primary and secondary and I can only find one. Getting older each day but not blind.

I believe (like on mine) the filter with the sensor on the bottom is factory by Cummins and is mounted from the factory right above the starter, it is in a really tight and bad area to change out. If yours is on a homemade bracket someone had it moved to a remote location for ease of changing it when service is done. You did not mention what chassis you have but on my Spartan Mountain Master Chassis the secondary filter is on the curb side rear battery compartment mounted right inside. Good luck and if you do have one you should be able to locate it without to much trouble
P.S. Tke a look right above the starter on the curb side and see what is up there ....

Yours might have only one filter. Filter location was done by CC

Thanks for the prompt response. The bracket the filter is mounted on is almost too nice and neat to be homemade and the plumbing to and from it is nicely bundled with other items. Maybe CC did build this one with only one filter but I will look above the starter once again to confirm. Usually there is a primary and a secondar fuel filter on nearly all diesel engines. When I had it in for service at Cummins there was just one charge for a fuel filter element.

Thanks again

04 inspire fuel filter location

my 04 Inspire (51057) is exactly like yours. Only one filter w/water sensor at the engine access door.

Thanks, ours is 51172 so I guess we only have to deal with one. At least it's not hidden somewhere where you need three hands to access it.

Appreciate the help.
