Angry Generator access

Hi, my name is Tony and have a 1992 CC magna. I just bought this coach a few months ago and was wondering if anyone can tell me how to open the generator. I found the toggle in the front drivers basement, but when I push it , I hear a hum and nothing happens. Any help would be great. Thanks

By toggle I guess you mean an electrical switch? Often generators are mounted on a sliding platform. The slide might be manual pull out, hydraulic, or electric motor. Too prevent movement of the platform during travel, it's often held in place with a bolt or a pin to lock it in place. Lay underneath and look and feel for a pin or bolt through the rail and the platform base.

Check as well near the switch. There may be a lever or some other device connected to a cable that may run down to the generator table. It should be accessible so you can hold the lever and work the switch at the same time.

Mr Flinn is correct in the assumption there is a safety latch to keep the generator from sliding out. With CC it should be an elegant solution rather than something you have to lay down to remove. IMO

Mine is a 95 when you flip the toggle it clicks then you manually pull it out.

My 2000 Magna is the same way. The switch activates a solenoid that unlatches or unlocks the generator slide but you must still manually slide out the generator.

My 1995 also has an electric toggle switch in the front driver side basement that unlocks the slide.
