Going off of memory here, not always a good thing for me to do!

On our 04 Allure's Auto Start and RG7 panel, I do not believe we had a 'manual start' option for the generator. You could set the start/stop parameters of the Auto Start, and then select it to be On/Off.

I believe this was because in the same panel over the door, the Generator Start button was right next to the RG7, so they did not program that option.

Memory may be off on this. Also, our Silverleaf was not interfaced with the Generator either.

As the Allure was one level down from your coach, very possible your's had more sophisticated options programmed into the mix.

Worse case, give the companies tech support a call. They should be able to walk you thru some parameters, and give you tips on things to look over if you should have a Manual On option.

Please let us know what you find out, and also, don't be surprised if you get more input later tonight or Monday - after the weekend warriors get back to the internet!

Best of luck to you,

It would help if we knew what inverter you have. Mine was replaced under warranty when new, lo those many years ago....., and the new one is a Trace. There are specific programmed parameters to get the auto start/stop to work on my model. Those are lost if the batteries are disconnected and have to be re programmed. Did you get the "flex flie" with the coach? It should have the correct steps. Have you gone on line and looked for the manual for your model?

If your model is the same as mine, I'd be happy to scan and email the .pdf to you.

We have a 2002 Affinity with a Silverlake computer. Our auto and manual generator start is in this device. Once in a while it stops communicating with the generator. When this happens I flip the "salesmans" switch that shuts down the house power and turn it back on after about 10 seconds. That reboots the system and it works fine after than.

Thanks guys I will get the make of my inverter. I programmed the TraceRC7GS and when I came back from dinner it said generator failed to start. So I think I had it programmed correctly. I rarely plug in to shore power so the AGS feature would be awesome. This coach is new to me although its my fifth RV it definitely has some cool features Ive never had before. I love driving this coach !

You did set the correct time on the RC7GS? It is possible to set start times but unless you have the time set correctly, it won't work.

I do not remember being able to start the genny from the RC7GS manually
