Has anyone installed an auto-start for your generator?

I was looking at installing a auto-start for my 8kw Powertech generator. Has anyone done this? What is the approx cost if you do it yourself and where to get the parts?

Thanks

I installed an AGS from Magnum Energy on my Allure. I believe I paid right at $300 for the gizmo. It was not hard to install. The most difficult part was locating wires that connect to the generator start switch. The Magnum unit does interface directly with my Magnum Energy inverter remote panel so not sure it will work easily unless you have a ME inverter/charger.

Xantrex also has an AGS module if you have their inverter/charger. If you have the Silverleaf system on your coach, they also told me they can do generator auto start if you buy and install their gizmo that works with your existing Silverleaf system.

Mine might be to old its a 2000 Allure. It does have a new Xantrex 458 inverter and control panel. Not sure if I can adapt something to it?

Onan/Cummings sells a DIY Generator Auto-start system that can be adapted to most any generator with electric start. Not sure of the price as you can probably find it numerous places online.

From Xantrex:

Power Accessories | Automatic Generator Start | Xantrex

I also installed Onan's wireless EC30W AGS on a previous coach but it had an Onan generator. Not sure it can interface with other generator brands. I believe it was about $500 but it sure was easy to install.
