Heart Freedom 25 has an extra set of wires
I am in the middle of upgrading my heart freedom 25 to a magnum 3012 Hybrid inverter. Once I removed the heart, there is an extra set of wires under there that is not called for on the magnum. Specifically an extra ac in one is labeled transfer and the other is labeled chargers. I have often wondered why I had 2 breakers on my main panel for the freedom 25. It looks like that is done to balance the load on the main panel Between the two legs. Obviously one of them cannot be used on the new inverter, I assume I will keep the transfer as it is coming from my transfer case. Will the fact of the load is no longer balanced be a problem? Does the wire labeled charger do anything else if I disconnect it? Most inverters don’t seem to have this extra feature/set of wires. I assume this also now gives me an extra circuit to play with in my basement bay if I so desire. I was really hoping to wrap this up this weekend, So any major wisdom on this would be most appreciated.

Your Heart was wired dual in; the Magnum can also be wired dual in (up to 50A each leg, 12,000W). Personally I'd use both wires and wire the magnum dual in as well. I assume your current Heart Freedom has two 30A breakers. That way you can bring in 7,200W vs 3,600 (one 30A leg).
Your call, check with a qualified electrician if in doubt.

There is only a single 120 v ac input on the magnum 3012 If I doubled the wires as it is wired from the breakers I would be attempting to wire 2 hot legs together, that of course will not work. If I rewire the panel so they are on the same leg, that would eat up the entire 50 amps from that leg, also not an advisable solution. The 4024 is a 24volt inverter ( so no go for my rv) but even in says 120 v input.

Heart Freedom 25 has an extra set of wires
I never said to wire two hots together. Dual in is two hot legs L1 and L2, typically done with a 6/4 wire for 50A - one black hot, one red hot, one neutral white and one green ground.
I am pretty sure your 3012 has a L1 hot and a L2 hot plus neutral and ground lugs. That would be dual in.
Consult with a qualified electrician in your area if needed.

Well it looks like we are both wrong. I bought the 3012mhs 1 input. There is in theory a 3012mhs rv. It does indeed have 2 inputs, but I could only find a brochure from magnum, no one online seems to sell them. Possibly a non released product, or only to rv manufacturers, who knows. I wish I had been aware of it though. Next week I am installing Solar any way , so 30 amp charge from shore/gen, + the solar, should be fine.
And of course my friend Pat (who is an electrician) always checks my work, but has yet to find a problem.

Sorry I thought that you got a Magnum MSH 3012M Hybrid.
Here is a manual for the MagnaSine Hybrid MSH3012RV
https://www.magnum-dimensions.com/si...V%20Series.pdf
I'm going to have to read up on this one. Sorry for the wrong information I posted.

I am already 85% installed and up and running, but still have a few details to sort out. I am just going with 1 30amp leg, and adding solar that I hope will make up for the other missing 30amp circuit, and I have an Idea (always a dangerous thing) for the extra 30 amp circuit and wire.

OK Got it.
I'm running (2) 30 Amp breakers in the sub panel from my 3012.
I also move the inverter much closer to my batteries. the factory install had a 20' 12-volt length of cables to the inverter, now I have a 3' of 12 volt cables to the inverter, what a difference that made!
I really do like the solar and lithium batteries I have, it is working great, have not ran the generator since mid-January. We have been boondocking 136 day this year already. and only 32 day in a campground.

Did not realize MSH3012M has only one Leg input (up to 60A AC!, that would be one good sized wire).
The 3012 hybrid manual I quickly looked at was the MSH3012RV (dual input as you mentioned).
Apologies for adding confusion.

So if you put 2 30 amp breakers on 1 leg (60 amps) you are 10 amps over what your 50amp rv plug, house main, and shore breaker can pass with out tripping. Am I missing something?

We have had discussions on this topic before. See posts # 16 and 19 in this thread:
http://www.irv2.com/forums/f112/inve...-440262-2.html
Two 30A breakers (without other breakers) on subpanel are probably problematic. A breaker or fuse is to protect the down steam wires. The 2 legs on our 2000 Country Coach Intrigue are 20A and 15A respectively, not sure about that on other makes/models though. A 30A breaker won't protect either of the 20A or 15A wire.
