Height clearance

I have a hanger and would like to store a 1997 Country Coach Affinity inside. The hanger door will open up to 12 feet high. Would this be enough clearance for the coach to drive under? I'm asking this question because I have not bought this coach yet and I'm wondering if this coach would fit inside my hanger.

Thank you in advance for all of your help. Tim

My 97 is 11'7" at ride height, if I dump the air bags it's 11'3".

The height of your target rig depends on what is mounted on the roof.

12' could be cutting it very close.

I think the OP needs to measure his rig!

Our specs say 13'-0"

I suggest you measure that particular 1997 Country Coach Affinity coach before you buy it.
(If you want a coach that will fit through a 12' high hanger door opening don't get one that measures taller than 12').

I would measure the coach but it's in another State and I thought someone out there would know off hand what the height of the coach was. Called Country Coach and they said they did not have that information at this time on a 1997 Country Coach Affinity. So does anybody know what the Height is on this coach.

It has the Standard roof equipment that came from Country Coach. Three roof air and a dome satellite receiver.

I doubt that all '97 Country Country Coach Affinitys are exactly the same height.

MEASURING is the only way to find how tall THAT PARTICULAR 1997 Country Coach Affinity is.

If the height of that coach is important to you I suggest you have someone in the other state measure it for you.

My 99 Country Coach Allure was 11'10" at ride height, it was 3-4" less if I dumped the air bags. I think you're taking all the fun out of this though with all this measuring and stuff. As the old, old saying that I just made up says, "what you lack in clearance, you can make up for with speed!" So, just hit it with some speed and you can be just as surprised as everyone else

Actually though, the Country Coaches of that era listed the height right on the dash just above the steering column below the dash gauges. Have the owner check and see if it is listed there, but beware if an in-motion satalite has been added after production it may be higher. Good luck.

Ask the seller to examine the cockpit area for a label with a generic looking drawing showing a dimension line at the top with the height shown.

Ours has one but older and not relevant here.

Given air ride it can have air bags bumped to squat and roll at lower height but that action may or may not be readily able.

The dome receiver was not standard in my era. Our dash indicates 11'8" to the top of the AC units.

The other thing learned about trucks and bridge clearances I learned many years ago, was that new pavement reduces the clearance to that immovable bridge.

Measuring is the only sure way to know, given such slight tolerances and no backup plan.
