How long by Tape is a Magna
Help please, I am looking at a 2000 Country Coach Magna that is listed as a 36 foot. Has anyone ever put a tape on one for exact measure? Going to put in my garage and only have 38 foot, want no more than 36 foot long to be able to walk behind without having to diet too much. Thanks,

Our 40' CC Inspire actually measures closer to 42' when I checked it. The only way to know for sure is having someone measure it. Don't forget the mirrors as they can stick out in front of the windshield slightly.

How long
That is what I am afraid of, I do not want anything that is longer than a measured 36 foot.

At the year you are talking, I don't think there is such a big difference. Our coach is a 40-foot model, and actually measures 40 feet 9 inches. Why not go back to the place you saw it and put a tape measure on it?

The length numbers are somewhat suspicious for any rig I've had! Our 38' Dutch Star was over 39' and the 40' was 41'9".
I haven't measured our Magna yet. I have an old 100' surveyors chain that I should get out I guess.

The Newmar folks don't know how to read a tape! And if you are over 45 feet on your coach, you are in trouble. We saw Susan at Premier when we were there in Junction City, and she changed the subject quick when I mentioned your coach. We really didn't care about dealing with her after she started to rag on CC, so we left, and didn't go back. Not professional at all!

Well, I did have a talk with Gary and Damon when we were there and apologized for what I had posted. I also saw Susan at the FMCA rally in North Bend and she didn't seem to be carrying a grudge about what I posted.
But I did find out I was wrong about blaming them for having any advanced knowledge of the engine problems. And the rest about not finding stuff like the bad heat pump, non-working auto gen start, the problems with the SmartWheel, the fogged window and other stuff is my fault for not verifying what I was told and looking close enough.

measure coach
Coach is 500 miles away and isn't on lot yet. Customer is waiting for there new unit to arrive. Dealer thinks a 36 footer will be 36 ft. I just need to know for sure. Have had several that were longer in the fivers than what manufacture stated just hoping it isn't longer than 36.
Don't know if the 98 is the same but might give a clue as to what Country Coach was doing with there numbers,

I think a dealer will tell you anything to get you to bite. Our Mountain Aire is a 37' model that measure out to more then that. Just saying.

Sales person ran the tape and said it measures about 36' 4-6" with the front protection shield. I can live with that. Pictures look great. Have a deposit on it and hope to go look at it last weekend in August,
