How to remove the headlight?

I noticed my front corner light next to headlight was out. I tried to take the lens out to check the light bulb but to no avail. Although I was able to pry out the trim surrounding the corner light, no screws or any type of retainers there. Has anyone done that? Appreciate inputs.

You might have to slide the gen-set out to access the rear of the lights, I would bet the bulbs go from the rear in a bulb mounted twist lock light socket on the rear side of the light housing.

I replaced the entire headlight assembly in my 2005 Airstream 396 XL. I discovered they were actually 1997-2000 Ford Explorer headlights so I ordered a new updated set in this year range. Taking them out was no easy task. They were not mounted to bracket that you could simply remove the proper screws but were mounted to a fiberglass rack on the inside of the shell with several random long screws. There were a couple that I had to very carefully cut off. Remounting was somewhat easier but not much. I am not sure how yours are mounted but from what I found out they never intended for these to be removed once installed at the factory. Good luck.

I have replaced my headlight bulb from behind the headlight. Maybe your corner light is done that way also?

No lens removal required?

the corner light assembly is bolted on fiberglass body. there is a rubber thing plugged into the tip of the cone reflector. thought it is the light bulb holder so tried to pull it out but to no avail, twisted but it won't lose either.

don was right - the bolts for the assembly were not in a pattern, a few were very long.

did you notice how it was held up the bulb when you worked on your headlights? thanks.

Countryfit, I had a 2000 Intrigue and a broken lens on right parking lens. I had to replace the complete light assembly, just for the broken lens. The whole assembly is a Ford item. Seems like it was 1988. I think there were 4 very long screws holding the light in place. Very tight quarters working from back side. Good luck.
