Hi Curtis! Congratulations! You will LOVE it! Yes, I had received the ride height information from Country Coach. Vernon Huber, a long time but sadly former CC employee sent it to me prior to his departure. That guy is SOLID! They actually sent me the ride heights and front and rear axel information too, which HWH will also ask for. If you send me your email address I can forward you the info you will need to send them. Also, I had a heavy truck shop increase my engine air compressor to output 135 psi, which is what the Active Air System requires. Say ‘Hi’ to the HWH gang for me. John Friede and Mitch Schmalz are wonderful engineers there.

Thanks for pointing out the pressure increase. I am at Cummins Northwest this morning for an oil and filter change so I will ask them to run up the air compressor.

Currently using Henderson air bag restrictors, but heading to HWH in June '19 for our install, then 8 - 10k trip around the US. Can't wait!

I downloaded the installation instructions for both the front and rear axle units. Will need to print them out before heading out for HWH in April.

The drive is well worth it. The tough part is do you stay at HWH or do you adventure. It is a long week and staying at HWH wouldn’t be fun. Once they are done assessing matters (about noon on day one) you are left wondering why are you there. My suggestion is plan something to do that week and explore. We headed to Chicago and then on to Nappanee and back killing the week. We arrived back Friday mid morning on time to get an update and wait.

I am interested in the HWH active air system, does the 10k price include new air bags and ride height valves, I am trying to justify the cost of the system. I was planning on replacing these items soon anyway, so I may wait if they are part of the upgrade.

Thanks
Pops

I believe I read on a thread, that if you need bags, do so before going to have Active Air installed. (-?- As my memory could be wrong...)

I'd suspect if you feel your air bags are towards end of life, that changing them before, or with, Active Air - would make sense... The bags should see more In/Out of air, as the system does it's thing!

If someone does not jump on and confirm my memory either way, a call to the company of course would give you the answer too...

Best to you,
Smitty

Smitty’s memory is still working. The Active Air I stall does not include new air bags and HWH will tell you they are not in the air bag business. They do ask that your bags are in good condition ahead of installation.

The Active Air system does include new ride height valves as the entire system moved to 1/2” lines from the current 3/8”.

Another active air question

Does HWH replaces or adds more air bags? Or uses the same air bags currently on the coach

Thanks
Zzotte

HWH makes use of the existing air bags. They change out all of the HWH controllers and keypad as well as the ride height controllers and air lines moving from 3/8 to 1/2” lines. The AA system changes both the ride and levelling.

I believe the lines are all changed to 5/8", at least mine were.
