Richard and all. I was being a little sarcastic when I posted I hate the refer. These Samsungs are the greatest thing since sliced bread and peanut butter.

I guess you have to have one to understand

Don,

I realize that you were being facetious however, I wanted to make sure that everyone understood what happens when making ice with the Samsung fridges because it is NOT explained anywhere in the manual or documentation.

If anyone attempted to remove my Samsung they would be looking down a double barrel shotgun with triple ought buckshot inside.

I believe that there is a strong movement of RV'ers who have had enough of the headaches with the old technology RV fridges. I knew it would happen sooner or later. It has just taken a little time for people to realize that you can have a residential fridge in an RV with all the conveniences of home.

For those naysayers who don't believe it maybe it's time for another poll.

Speaking of sacasm--if your ice cream is too hard, just move a bit closer to the flames as your rig burns down from the latest RV fridg fire--just saying.....

I have a Norcold fridge in my 2011 RV and it works perfectly. It runs off electric or propane. It keeps ice cream at the perfect temperature and makes plenty of ice. I love the four-door design.plenty of room. It is not on any recall list and I couldn't be happier.

Wouldn't consider swapping it out for a 'residential' electric only fridge.

Guess I got lucky!

Cheers. (you seldom hear about the ones withOUT any problems...). :-)

I love my Norcold also. It worked good before the recall and works fine after the recall. The recall addressed any overheating issues !

For those that still love their Norcold read this post and also clink on the posters link to a blog showing what happen to a 2007 Phaethon with a Norcold model 1210 which is the newest model for Norcold.
