Intellitec light switches

If you turn a light on and disconnect the switch what happens? Does the light stay on or go off?

If I unplug an old switch and plug in a new one, how does the new know about how it was programmed?

Beside the price of the switch, I have been told I have to send the old one away and have a new programmed at a cost of $75.

I bought spare switches from Kevin Waite in Junction City. Yes, they need to be programmed. Kevin said to call him when I needed it done. I don't know how much he charges though. After all, he sells information to make a living.

Is Kevin an expert regarding Intellitec systems? If so can you please share his contact info? I am currently experiencing issues with slide movement and I have narrowed it to Intellitec.

The light will stay in its current state - on if it was on and off if it was off. The multiplex lighting works off variable programmed voltage level sent from the programmed light switch panel. The voltage level is programmed into the controller in the back closet area to switch the light on/off, depending on the voltage signal.

A new replacement panel needs to be programmed with the correct voltage signal for your coach and specific lighting panel to turn on the correct light that is programmed into your controller in the back closet.

Thank you, now we decide if we want to spend that kind of money for a broken piece of plastic.

So, the coffee is starting to take effect. I would guess what you are saying is, I could take another 6 button pad with in the coach and swap them and they would work?

The plastic face and button go over the switch board and can be replaced. If its just a broken square button then replace the cover not the switch.
