RV is an expensive toy especially a Country Coach. Hiring someone else to do the upgrades tests the depth of your pockets. Don't feel bad about it.

If you can do all of those, go for it by all means.

One example, I was quoted $8500++ just for the TV cabinet. My guy wants $2k for it then add the lift and the top..maybe another $2k-2.5k depending on the lift.

So Jack couch is out, just started to remove the cabinet on the drivers slide.

I'll remove all but 4-6" of the cabinet floor and have a wall cabinet made to hide the wiring, most will be gone.
Those prices are insane for sure.
When I was at OMC in Eugene I was quoted $4000 to move a 4 foot section of overhead cabinets about 3 feet. It was pretty straightforward stuff, nothing hidden or needed moving.

$1000 a foot was too much for us. We ended up doing it ourselves, with close to the same final quality as OMC would have done (by judging what other customers had done with their cabinetry) for around $250.00. Included in that cost was a used router I needed.

I don't feel bad about it I feel that the company's are ripping off owners. I have no problem paying a fair price, but I won't pay 2-3x's what it should cost.

Should have explained that I ended up putting the entertainment cabinet where the couch was..

I received my recliners from HT Market.com 4 days after ordering both less than $1400 delivered. Elect recline, lights etc. Leather on the seating surfaces what they call leather match.Seats are quite no squeaks etc. Backs remove so I was able to get through our doors once I unbolted the passenger seat.

So that's all done, got rid of the lousy std couch, cabinet I didn't need and relocated the wiring mechanism that was under the cabinet to the cabinet behind the drivers seat. This allowed building a platform to place the recliners on.

Many thanks to Eric and the crew at
Olstrom Custom Coach who were able to pull off this task.

Now just need somewhere to go....hopefully this year

Looks really great! Thanks for posting an update, it's always good to see how these projects end up, who did the work, etc.

Countryside makes their own desks, Hidden TV cabinets, table and other custom cabinets. I was in their showroom in October looking at recliners. Impressive wood work and they were redoing a full floor in a CC in all tile while I was there. When I decide to do flooring it will be at their shop. It is a father and son shop.

There are other businesses that don’t charge an arm and both legs. Texas RV flooring and designs is one of them. They are a sponsor on this forum

I am looking to replace a sofa in my Intrigue. So far the only one that looks like that can help me is Villa Industries. Is there anyone else you would suggest? The step at the slide out seems to be an issue with most suppliers and I don't really want to do this again. I want a nice sofa this time.

I was happy with the Villa quality, but not the 18 year old off white fabric. The Frame and padding were fine. since I was removing the carpet for a wood laminate floor install, and needed to remove the sofa any way, I had it reupholstered. I think it turned out great, and hopefully it will go another 18+ years. I'm sure they could redo your padding if that was an issue as well.

We replaced our Villa with another Villa. They are custom made to fit in the area where it will go. The difference in price to recover or replace he entire couch wasn't that great. Buying new, you get all new hardware.

Sorry I worded by post poorly. Someone already replaced the original sofa in my Intrigue with a very low quality sofa. It looks nice but is a torture device to sit or stretch out on. I would like something of Villa quality but just wondered if anything else was available to compare. I am on the East Coast and Villa is on the West, I really like to be eyes/hands on before I buy if possible.
